To Africa I Yearn

We are the children of the golden land.

Our ancestors of leader men & women.

People of faith!

Our heritage speaks of courage when our ancestors

Bore the pain of the lash.

A gash of pain, our bodies ache in vain.

For there is none when a person’s life is done,

the heart shatters apart.

Lamenting of a past beyond the sea

There is nowhere else I rather be,

me and my people.

I live in a castle as tough as my attitude

I am married to a beautiful queen with aptitude

My crown is of gold which makes me feel rich

I command many knights who guard my realm at every inch

I am wise as I am strong

I ride a black stallion as wild and swift like me

My children are joys but need to learn their manners.

At church I pray for Christ’s blessings and advice

From Rome to France my empire carries a heavy price.

I call all these lands home

Interest I take in the Renaissance, admiring the architect’s dome

The art, people and the land are all connected as a web.

Spongebob

Spongebob is so square it’s no wonder he wears clean underwear.

He makes the meanest Krabby patties in the sea,

With one bite you’ll jump and say “Ahoy Matties!”

He is always so cheerful that it’s now wonder he can be so fearful.

He enjoys the taste of jelly

Rumor is he dates a girl named Kelly.

He is so mellow when he’s yellow.

Spongebob is so funny that he makes Mr. Krabs big money.

The Weather

Whenever I think of the weather, the wind feels cool and breezy like a feather.

The rain falls on your head, when it flows down the drain, the spiders are dead.

The cold winter is so bitter you won’t see one furry critter.

Thunderstorms are so dark you can’t hear a dog bark.

The lightning is so frightening, i can feel my muscles tightening.

When the sun comes out, its yellow color is so calm and mellow.

The grass is green like the jewels of a queen.

The sky is so blue, I could say I’m wild about you.

Yogurt

I love yogurt because it’s so creamy and the taste is so dreamy.

It is so light I could take flight,

When I eat yogurt I feel so dandy that each flavor is like candy,

It puts me in a mood which makes me feel good.

No matter what flavor; Peach, Vanilla or Blueberry

As long as it’s not Cherry.

I love yogurt that much that I feel like a dove.

Tell me the tale of a boy who was lost,

Oh, the lad of the brown eyes

Bold of heart he trekked up a hill

Past the shore and mill.

Day was clear, opium in the boat,

Ale in the Crow’s Nest high:

Bold with word embolden by his sword:

Has my path gone nigh?

Tell me the tale of a boy who was lost,

Oh, the lad of the brown eyes

Bold of heart he trekked up a hill

Past the shore and mill.

Bring me anew lands I did know,

Bring me the snow and frost,

Bring me the love, bring me the sword,

Bring me kin long lost.

Tell me the tale of a boy who was lost,

Oh, the lad of the brown eyes

Bold of heart he trekked up a hill

Past the shore and mill.

Waves and wind, Eagle and hind,

Forests of caves and stars,

One from far away, one from far seas

One farm from home I lost

Tell me the tale of a boy who was lost,

Oh, the lad of the brown eyes

Bold of heart he trekked up a hill

Past the shore and mill.

Fire Born March

I am a bear made of ivory, brighter than the moon

O the veins that trail my flesh, are electrum and bronze

My teeth have no sheath, battle jaws

They make my face fierce, the power has a hold on me

I tread downtown, I am still like an asp

O my claws are daggers, I sharpen them and rake them

O now crowds gaze on me, yet no shots flare

The crowds gaze on me, and the eyes aim dead on

I march on

The time is now for all of you to flee

Some once did jeer me down, now some quiver lo

I am pushing on and I feel the

Earth, wind, fire born march rising in my blood

We raise the flood, the sinners flee

I always view the pyres burn on the open sea

Lo I strive to stand by their shore

Earth, wind, fire born march rising in my blood

I pray by night, yet they ask not for grace

O the chills crawl through my spinal cord by hourly turn

O now crowds gaze on me I am breaking free of bond

Crowds gaze on me, and now their lips seal

Yet I have my claws raised high and I claim a high perch

O I am burning out all who raised a hand to me

O this is the earth, wind, fire born march

Rising in my blood

O this is the earth, wind, fire born march-

march-march

Sphinx’s Street

Bow when you’ve entered

We still have our glory of old

The lions now rest on thrones

Gaze on the Hidden One and the gods who walk

The gods who walk

Summon my sisters forth, they appear in divinity

A thousand cobras on crowns

A thousand scarabs around necks

Call on my brothers now, their eyes bright as the river

The river we praise as a mother, how she gives life in flow

Whisper through the dark we hide

Whisper through the pool we chide

The ibises too, they whisper on my side

They reign in palaces you only wish to see

Has few charm yet they do strike awe in me

Sailing by temples on the banks eternity meet

You can find me on the Sphinx’s street

I never cared to turn my eyes to the West

I know what’s best

Now all the columns fell low

Stones around our heads

Am I the one to blame?

So giants squabble for a place in history

Yet what the gods value is sanctity

They reign in palaces you only wish to see

Has few charm yet they do strike awe in me

Sailing by temples on the banks eternity meet

You can find me on the Sphinx’s street

I never cared to turn my eyes to the West

I know what’s best

I’m more stronger now when I took on fate’s test

I know what’s best

They live in palaces you only wish to see

Has few charm yet they do strike awe in me

Sailing by temples on the banks eternity meet

You can find me on the Sphinx’s street

Find me on Sphinx’s street

You can find me on Sphinx’s street

Find me on Sphinx’s street

Find me on Sphinx’s street

You can find you can find you can find
